We also offer stylish and trendy ready-made non-prescription sunglasses, though note that you can’t customize the lenses or tints on these.

Can all Zenni sunglasses be customized?

• Almost all Zenni frames can be customized as sunglasses with your choice of lens type and color. The exceptions are select styles of our non-prescription sunglasses, which come pre-designed with a preset frame color and lens that doesn’t allow for customization. (Shopping tip: Non-customizable sunglasses will have a style number that starts with a letter “T”.)

Why are there limits to how certain sunglasses can be customized?

• Some frames, particularly premium sunglasses, Zunnies sports sunglasses, or branded frames, may have restrictions on available lenses or tints due to their specifications. However, we are proud to offer more customization options for these types of glasses than most other retailers.

How do I order prescription sunglasses?

• Our flexible options let you create an affordable pair of prescription sunglasses that are uniquely you. There are a handful of steps, so here’s a quick overview of a typical customization experience:

  • Find frames you love that are the right size for your face and prescription. Our Pupillary Distance tool and Virtual Try-on can help with this!

  • Click/tap “Select Lenses” and choose “Prescription” and follow the steps to add your prescription details.

  • Choose “Sunglasses”, then you’ll choose your sunglasses lens type, lens index (i.e., lens thickness), tint category, and tint color. Your choices will be previewed in your frames.

  • Add any special coatings, like anti-reflective or anti-fog.

  • Next, you can choose to add a custom engraving to the temple arm.

  • Hit finish and add your sunglasses to your cart! You can always go back and make changes by selecting “edit” in the cart.​​​​​​​​​​​

Can I order clip-on sunglasses for non-Zenni frames?

• No. Our clip-on sunglasses are carefully designed to fit specific Zenni frame shapes, sizes, and SKU numbers, so they’re not made to mix and match with different styles and brands. This ensures a secure fit and the best look when paired with their matching Zenni frame.
